M.J.McCarthy has released two albums on Elvis Costello’s label and has toured with the likes of Radiohead, Paul Weller and Travis. He has enjoyed National and Indie chart success as singer with the band Perfume performing on the NME stage at Glastonbury and as Paul Weller’s special guest at his Lazy Sunday afternoon in Finsbury Park

One of the few Leeds bands whose well earned reputation precedes them, endearing crowds locally and nationally with their six piece terrace chant rock. The Things have been together for two years developing their sound and support which has culminated in the February 2004 release of their debut EP. Released on Domino/Dusty Company and produced by the legendary Phill Brown the tide is behind these boys to ease them towards the shore of success. Singer Sam Riley writes eloquent cries of everyday life, life affirming songs with wit, humanity and fierce energy.
